hi. ive been ravaging the pages of my rule book for a few days, and i cant seem to find any specific rules on krak grenades or melta bombs. another thing i have been wondering (but havent tried to look into it) is whether or not i can use converted models in apocolypse games. any information is helpful. thx

Rather than go into great detail, I'll just tell you this:
Look up "Grenades" in the appendix in the back of the book. It'll give you the page # that they're on.
They are in a little text box on the (IIRC) right side of the right page.
It tells you what you should need to know.
Hope that helps.

Of course you can use conversions in an Apocalypse battle, there's even a whole two-page spread in the Apoc book regarding scratchbuilds etc (p62-63).

i know that. its just i dont know the specifics of what a frag does to enemies, what meltabombs do to vehicles, and the same with krak. all page 39 says is a breif description about the grenade and not any specific rule for them.

thank you. i finally looked in the book more thoroughly and found the pages. it looks as though i will finally be able to use some of my special guys. i will probably post a thread about my army later.

Nope, the rules are there. What's listed on page 39 and page 72 is it. You can't attack infantry models with grenades in 40K.

You can't attack infantry models with grenades in 40k. Grenades in 40K are mostly intended to give attack bonuses while charging, or denying the enemy bonuses. Its somewhat strange that 38000 years into the future they seem to have forgotten how to make grenades that kill people.

That's not true! After years of fighting Tyranid hordes, a few elite squads of Ultramarines have figured it out. If only they'd share with the rest of us.
