So basically what is going on here is if we get an odd number of players in the tourney then I'll play, but since I am looking over everyones list I wanted everyone to see mine so there isn't any issues with someone thinking I tweaked my list to beat their army.
So what ya think! 170 Orks!

I think it looks pretty rough. As one of the T.O.s, however, I would be careful about playing in my own event.
Firstly, most organizers that sub in a judge or staff member to even the player count let it be known that that person is not eligible to place or win, as that could be seen as collusion or bias towards their buddy. Asking for lists in advance at all is a little suspect, generally between judges and opponents there is plenty of time to review lists during an all day tournament.
Secondly, this list in particular strikes me as difficult for anyone to get a clean win against. As a ringer, your job should be to give your opponents a good game against a balanced list. This ork army is not typical of the competitive lists at tournaments lately. We might be seeing more horde lists in the near future, but not lately. 170 models makes it reallly tough to get in a full six turns, so by the end of three or four you'll probably have a mess of draw at best.
The best events I have been to have all had one thing in common. The line between event staff and players has been perfectly apparent. When the line gets blurred the door is open to all kinds of potential abuses and even if you guys are perfectly fair, players will question everything, before and after. I would love to see the first annual CAG tournament every year, get bigger and better. Heck, it's only an hour from Dayton! I hope you guys will come up for some events this summer.

My intentions were not to win the tourney so if I do play no prizes for me I assumed that was a given.
I was only suggesting that if we had an odd number of players I would do that.
I posted the army so if there were issues everyone had a chance to see my list so as to not be shocked by it.
I don't have enough judges or volunteers at the moment to be able to go thru the lists and make sure they are legal. I asked for the lists to give me time to go through them on that saturday. My intention is if someone has some miscalculated points it can be fixed before the tourney got started so they don't lose points on them.
I was not aware that this is not the common thing to do for tournaments as everyone I had been in required them before hand.
My hope is that the odd amount of people thing won't happen. As far as the list goes that is what I would have used if I played in the tourney and is close to fluff as I think an Ork horde army would be like.
If this will be an issue as far as me playing or using that list I will do whats best for the tournament. I will check around to see what options I might have.
Thank-you for bringign this to my attention.

Not to be harsh, but if you're using the army for the purposes of being the ringer, with the intention to simultaneously be working as an organizer, this army is completely inappropriate.
The biggest problem is that it's going to take forever to play. You need something with a low model count that will play FAST so you can finish your games early (win or lose) and get back to work.

Hey Makari,
I'm not trying to blast you out of the water, I'm really looking forward to next weekend. I'm just trying to point out some potential stumbling blocks with the tournament structure and player attitudes and experience. I'm hoping to come down for a great event, make some friends and invite them up to Dayton later this summer.

Hey man its cool I didn't think you were. I am glad you brought this to my attention now instead of after the tourney. I want it to go smoothly, I prefer the feedback instead of silent stewing.
This is actually helping tremendously.
Thank-you
I'm gathering feedback to see where the majority votes. I'll go based on whats best for the tourney.
And BTW at the moment we are at 22 people so so far we are even!

Solid army list, and good as far as the ork horde fluff is concerned. The only issue i can really see with it are big things, like tanks and MCs. You will struggle against any mechanized army. Consider dropping a squad of boyz for more lootas.

My thoughts on the list. I'll leave the suitability as a ringer army to the above posters.
1) SAG Mek probably doesn't need the burna and cybork body, as he's largely untouchable. On the off-chance that he teleports himself, oh well.
2) KFF Mek has too much stuff too. He's an IC, so can be singled out in combat. Giving him a powerklaw and eavy armour increases the temptation to put him in combat, and then you lose your forcefield. He's a support character, not an attack character, outfit him as such.
3) Get rid of the big shootas for more rokkits. Orks don't have a lot of trouble with infantry, and a lot of trouble with vehicles, especially AV14 vehicles. Without a warboss's powerklaw/canopener, you're depending on a S8 rokkit to glance any AV 14 vehicle. Bring more of them.

As a list, I generally agree with Redbeard's comments. I'd get more lootas, since that 8 man unit will be a tempting target and go away quickly.
As a player in the tourney, I agree with a lot of Kirby's comments. The list isn't a typical tourney list, could take forever to play (unless you practice with it a lot, which I'm not expecting you to have time to do), and will probably get a lot of draws.
If I ran a tourney, I'd look to field a semi-competitive MEQ list, since that is probably about 2/3 of the armies in most tournies. Probably not min-maxed mauleed style, but more than 10-man tacs with flamers and missile launchers too. Maybe min las-plas squads but take speeders without assault cannons, razorbacks, dreads, and tanks to fill-out the points (as opposed to termie squads with two assault cannons). Or take 10-man las-plas squads, but then tool-up the rest of the list. Something that has a chance to win, but isn't an optomized list.
The other option is to take the worst list you can imagine, match yourself up against the 'young kid' in round one, and then play the last place player each round. Fight for a draw. Figure that even if you hemorrage battle points, they'll get stomped on the other games enough to not win the tourney.
