hey guys, i am kinda new to warhammers, but i've already got a basic idea of how to play this game
i bought a typhus today, and i ordered 3 boxes of plague marines
i am looking at a 1000 army just for now and a 1500 or even 2000 army list later on
would noise marine help kill tanks or i might as well get havoc squads?
please give me some good suggestions on whats good to put with what i already have
much appreciated!

I myself would go for Havocs, or a predator with Lascannons myself, they're just more interesting and effective to use than Noise Marines.
If you like Nurgle, which by the Looks of things you do, try soem Chaos bikers with Mark of Nurgle, yes its expensive but toughness 6 is just insane fo a fast attack unit.
Also maybe take soem terminators to accompany Typhus, it makes the Unit more hard hitting, and if lucky will draw fire away form other units.
Of course this is an expensive idea but can be worth it in my opinion-if you put the effort in.
Oh, and welcome to Dakka and the game system by the way

You posted this exact thing in the Army Lists section as well. Please don't do that. The only reason for cross-posting like that is if you're looking for different kinds of feedback, but since the text is an exact copy, that doesn't seem to be the case.

for the terminators, what kind of upgrade i should give them
cause the mark of nurgle for each of them is +40pts
that makes termies way too expensive
how many termies is suitable for a 1500 army?
for the bikers, what are they good in?
takin on the troops or tanks
please let me know about what kinda role does bikers play in
appreciated

Ok, its 40 points for the whole squad to have the nurgle upgrade if I remember corrects ly, so a squad of 5 would cost 190 ish points, which isn't that bad.
As for bikes they work well at attacking enemy fire bases as they can get there fast and save the lives of many men.
As for upgardes, upgarde all terms to chaps for the extra attack maybe and a heavy flamer to deal with infantry, and give the bikes a melta gun or two, just in case the enemy has Broadsides or lots of tanks, makes them easier to kill

Ignore this advice. It is awful. For the cost of that extra attack, you could get another power fist or 1/3 of another Terminator. Never upgrade Termies to champs. Never.

in the codex it says for the terminators,
Icon:
* one model maybe given on of the following icons:
-chaos glory for 10pts
-slaanesh for 15pts
-khorne for 30pts
-nurgle for 40pts
-Tzeentch for 35pts
doesn't that mean each terminator? since it says "one model"
so you would suggest termies and biker both? or just one out of them

so i should not upgrade one of the terminators into a terminator champion?
10pts more for that extra attack?
how many termies i shoould get and wat upgrades to give them ?

on page 81 of the Chaos codex it says under each 'mark' entry how it effects the whole squad. So one model holds the icon, but all benefit from it.
I guess it depends on your tactics for the army on whether you would take both or just one, if you do take Terminators then it might be worth tkaing a land raider as it will help you reach the enemy quicker, but its very much down to personal preference, on what you like not what we tell you to take.
Oh, and to let you know I've never actually played Chaos before, so most of what I'm saying is based purely on my codex and what my head thinks might work, not experiance

adding the icon of nurgle means da whole squad gets one more toughness right?
thanks for sharing your ideas with me

yep, you got it, it wouldn't make sense for only one model to get it.
Oh, and for some reason I feel spawn would fit in with a Nurgle army quite well to, not sure why though.
Let me know how the army building goes, post an army list or something cos I'd be interested to see how it all ends up.

More advice to ignore.
They are some of the coolest new models out there, but they get their butts handed to them in every game.
Not worth the points.
Also (no disrespect intended), proper grammar, spelling and punctuation are always appreciated. Reading sentences that use a single letter to represent a whole word, or have numerous misspellings, no punctuation and no cpaitalization is rather annoying and difficult to read, at times.

I take it you meant the spawn, in which case I only recomended them on a fluff(ish) type basis, not for gaming power per say. I know they suck in games, and it must take some practise to get used to.
As to the other thing you mentioned Eric, sometimes you need to get a message across quickly, if you have other things to do, so whilst I get what your saying there isn't alot that can be done about it sometimes. Sorry.

yes it would, but with Typhus leading the army it just makes more sense to give the squad mark of Nurgle, especialy if they are going to accompany him into battle, at least this is true from a themed/fluff basis for an army
