Under the couch

Over the last few weeks, I've been in the process of setting up an online store for Under The Couch.

It's been sitting there on the site's menu bar for a little while now, but I hadn't really had a chance to get much listed in there until yesterday, so hadn't made an actual announcement.

So, here it is: We now have an online store!

The range is still expanding, but for the moment it includes bases, decals, an assortment of 40K and WHFB bits left over from eBay auctions or conversion jobs, a bunch of Dwarfs from Battle for Skull Pass, and Star Wars miniatures.

I'm trialling a new Custom Base service as an alternative to resin casting. There are two designs on the store at present, with more to come. Basically, you buy however many bases you want, and I custom make them for you. It's that easy!

I'm also setting up a 'Budget Vehicles' section, which will showcase various vehicles I come across that might be suitable for 28mm wargaming, for those who are working on a budget and just want cheap vehicles, even if they don't look quite as flash as the proper kits.

Payments at present are through Paypal. Australian customers can send payment by money order or cheque as well.

Edit: And just added this morning: orders over AU$50 now ship for free, worldwide!

So pop on in and have a look around... and be sure to check back, as there's plenty more to come

Hey! Insaniak has a store! Wow, how things change after a few years, lol. I really like those jungle bases, if I ever start that tyranid army, I might have to order some of those. How long do they take to sculpt?

Thanks,

Um... will you be selling your awesome conversions there? As nice as the other stuff is, it's the plasticard madness that we would all give a kidney for. I know eBay is the main venue for this, but if you have one model that you can churn out on a regular basis, perhaps a static price on your own store site would do well.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Oh I rather like those jungle bases and the budget bridge. Very reasonably priced too.

All up, about an hour for 10. Has to be done in several stages, which is a bit of a nuisance... but they're fun to do.

Conversions, probably not. Although that will depend at least partially on what happens to eBay after the new Paypal-only rules kick in.

Eventually there will be a some kits of my own dropping in there, though...

GW doesn't like people production-lining conversions, so that one's out. I'm working on a few ideas for things that I can make from scratch, but conversions will remain one-offs.
