Hi all. Quick question about trying to convert some Vostroyan Rough Riders. I was looking around for some horses with a little bit more of an ornate look than anything GW offers and I stumbled upon the PP Protectorate Exemplar Vengers.

You can buy the horses separate as bits, but I was curious if anyone knows if they would be compatible with the Rough Rider legs and bodies by GW.

The horses look a bit bigger than the GW ones, but I don't know if this is just the look or actual size. Does anyone know for sure?

Moz:
You: "Hold on, you rammed, that's not a tank shock"
Me: "Ok so what is a ram, lets look at the rules."
Rulebook: "A ram is a special kind of tank shock"
You: "So it's a tank shock until it hits a vehicle, and then it's a ram, not a tank shock, and then it goes back to being a tank shock later!"
Me: "Yeah it doesn't really say any of that in here, how about we just play by what's written in here?"

I think PP games are 30mm scale as opposed to GW 28mm "heroic"

It'd look more realistic if the horses were bigger, think how massive real horses are, the GW ones look like shetland ponies! With a bit of leg bending you should be able to get them on there.

Opinions are like arseholes. Everyone's got one and they all stink.

They mix okay from my experience. I've seen people use Empire Militia (which are a little closer to true scale) as cygnar infantry and Kislevites as Khadorites, and I think Glaive Company CO (or was it The Power Cosmic?) was working on Vostroyans as Khador Assault Kommandos. Not sure about the cav, though.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil
