Hey Dakka board members! I'm new to the Fantasy section, but used to play 40k many many years ago. So long ago that my only 40k army was a squad of Eldar dire avengers. In other words, I'm a n00b. I'm interested in starting a WHFB army and have eyed the Skaven, Orcs&Goblins and Lizardmen with much pizzazz.

I've been thinking about getting the Battle of Skull Pass boxed set with paints included. In the US, I heard it was 45$? Is this correct? If i do get this set I'm planning on building up a night goblin force from that point onward until i get bored. Any advice is usefull!! Thanks guys!

With a name like Doctor Skaven, how can you consider anything else but Skaven

Hello and welcome, new myself but not to the hooby. I do recommend skull pass no matter what army you choose. It's a great jumping off point and one of the best deals GW offers.

Welcome! Yes, BfSP is a great idea. If you're considering either Dwarves or Orcs & Goblins as an army, or if you're just a new player looking to learn the game, it's really a bargain. And you can usually sell the figures online later if you pick up another army and decide you don't want the boxed set models anymore.
