Since you can usually get a 20% discount by ordering from another store you're really paying USP20 (plus shipping) for a really mediocre miniature.

Someone tell me what the strap on the bolter is for. There is no way he is going to be able to loop that strap over his shoulder.

I know, of all the things about this miniature that could bother me, that's the one I pick. Also, there's the weird pro-wrestler belt thing he's got.

Actually, KK, the weapon choice isn't that impractical. 5th edition rumors point to power fists not getting bonus attacks from anything but another power fist or thunder hammer, so a bolter is a natural choice in this case. Bolt pistols would gain a model nothing under this rule. Not sure if you were aware of that.

And what marine worth his bolter wouldn't be covered in useless paraphranalia? They get made to repent and pray all night if they don't have 27 pieces of flair.

It's not a bad model, really. I've seen far worse marine models, that's certain.

Only the backpack icon (and possibly the enormous rosairus belt buckle) invokes my wrath, otherwise it's a nice use of Captain Cortez :S

No, no I was not. Interesting. In the past when we've seen PF/bolter characters it was always the first thing we pointed and laughed at.

I am dismayed with the lack of baldness and screaming, though I imagine he is bald and screaming under the helmet.

Bolter and Pfist is the way to go.

All my Chaos vets will lose their pistols for combi weapons as no more +1 attack.

As we all know, the best way of making an unappealing miniature more enticing is to make it harder to get.

Yeah, that actually kinda bothered me, along with his absurd belt-buckle. I'll pass, thanks, even though I like power fists, like, a LOT.

One reason to still go with BP/PF... you can shoot and then charge. (Unless the rules for no charges after firing rapid fire weapons have changed/gone away).

Not too bad, I guess if they are givinbg him away I'd take one when doing a big bitz order otherwise I'd just do a plastic conversion.

I wonder if there is any detail on the shoulderpads or it the 'U' on the right knee pad is sculpted.
I would use him as a BA and the ultramarines symbol just won't work...

Not a bad mini if it weren't for the PF in the air. If that were different, I'd actually like it, but not enough to buy $100 just for it.

Nah... All Space Marines must graduate from the same School of Heroic Posing and Fine Arts befor they are allowed to be promoted to serge or higher. You wouldn't believe how long it takes to learn how to properly hold your hand up in the air and scream.

I guess the way to look at it is as potential discount on your GW mail order:

You buy $100 at the GW store, get this for the price and bung it on eBay hopefully at a profit, thereby subbing your original order?

Bah, Skulls are soooooooo previous editions, 5th Edition is all about the Aquila (and giant belt buckles)! Besides, he has a skull on his Bolter. Edit: And skulls on the backpack, the pistol holster and a transfer on the powerfist shoulder. I forgot that 5th is also about the Studs too! Thankfully the UM symbols look like transfers also.

Oooohhh, I just got my guy today after ordering $100 worth of BFG stuff...
