Are these two separate models? Reading the codex leads me to believe they are.

Thanks!

It would seem to me that common sense-wise (based on the one line of stats, no explicit mention of 2 models, and the points value), they were clearly intended to be treated as single model, even if modeled as two figures on a single base.

RAW-wise... I have to admit that it's a little vague, but I would have a really hard time arguing for two separate models. What is it that suggests that to you?

this section of the forums is frightening to me with the levels of irrational, unreasoned rules-lawyering floating around. I'm sure my reply will be overly scrutinized.

Intent= GW's intent is clear, the inclusion of the special rule "we are legion" and "watch this" indicate that the unit is supposed to 'feel' like one blue horror has cast a spell, and the other blue horror has also cast a spell, he may or may not have copied the first blue horrors spell in an attempt to show him up.

Lawyering= i believe in the description of the unit, they use the plural form when referring to the horrors but they state that the horrors ride atop a (singular) disc of tzeentch. sounds like 1 model consisting of a single disc of tzeentch with 2 blue horrors glued onto it.

if you are having a hard time figuring out if the cost of the unit includes 2 separate independent characters that can both shoot 2 gifts of chaos and can split off and join separate units, then I've given my reasons for thinking that isn't true.

If you like arguing semantics, the floor is open.

I was unsure so that is why I asked. I think it is like the two Marines riding an attack bike now that I have had time to think about it. I was thinking it would be a very cool conversion wanted to know if they both need to be on the same base.

Lighten up a bit.

Read the note about blue horrors on page 35, you represent them with two models on a single base.

The Blue Scribes is listed as a 'unique' character in the army list, not as more than one model. Therefore if you wish to use two models, you can (and probably should for fluff reasons) but they would have to be on the same base.

I know that the only reason you would ask this question is because it is unclear in the rulebook. I wasn't sure how confused you were, or if you had a guess as to what it was supposed to be and wanted "bulletproof" confirmation (like so many want on YMDC). I agree with you in thinking its a single model like an attack bike. I also agree that it would be a kick-ass conversion. In fact I think I saw a guy here on dakka that did an awesome one. Looking for link...

Sorry bout that. I wasn't directing the first line of my post at you as the OP, I'm just trying to head off the banality that will surely follow. This section of dakka has blind-sided me with far too many insane arguments, so I decided to post in a way that would stop most of the semantic arguments before they started. Well, that didn't work either because I came off as sounding like an ass... well, back to tactics/lists/batreps
