I got:

An unknown system error has occurred. The error message is: java.lang.NullPointerException.

When I tried to upload a picture. I reread the instructions, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong...

Uploading where? the forums or the articles? What time did the problem happen (along with your timezone)? Do you double click the upload button when you upload files in the articles? I noticed that you have double-uploaded a few files and wondered if that is why?

Same error.

Problem occured at 12:20 (PDT), in both Opera and Firefox. Trying to upload an image in the Articles section, via "Upload a file." I specified the source file (it definitely exists), provided a file name (DD12008-02.00a), and tried both with and without descriptive text.

I wasn't double-clicking.

Update: I still get the same error, but the picture DID upload, and is usable from within an Article.

ok, thanks very much for the info. I should be able to look into this and get it sorted over the next week now.

I have found and fixed this error in the code and will put the changes up this weekend. Thanks again for reporting it. If you want to upload images in the mean time, go to edit an article (any article), and then click the 'Click to load the image uploader/manager' button. This will load a new window which has full, bug free image uploading support.

If you see the error message (nullpointerexception) come up after uploading an image, it is just a redirection error. The image will still be uploaded and you can click on 'Recent Changes' or the 'image uploader/manager' button to view the image name and path.

1) Go into an existing article (any article).
2) Click "Edit" (either at the top, or any of the section edits).
3) One of the buttons IN THE EDITOR is the stealthy "Click to load the image uploader/manager" button.
