OK, I' painting up a JSOD for my WHFB lizards. He's going to have the Blessed Mark of the Old Ones, which "requires" he be an albino. Usu, I don't really care o be told by a book what colors to paint my models, but albino sounded intruiging so I decided to run with it. I primed white, base color is now bleached bone, and I am now stuck like chuck on where to go from here. Maybe start mixing skull white with bleached bone for highlighting? Also, I am wanting to wash him at some point with a light purple. I've only known a couple of folks with albinism, but you could see a lot of their blood vessels through their skin very lightly. Gave them a red/blue cast (duh) under their stark white.

I'm kinda shooting in the dark here with this paint job. Any suggestions from anyone, esp anyone whose gone here before, would eb appreciated.

Bone might be a bit of a warm colour for albino skin, perhaps try adding the tiniest bit of blue to white for the basecoat, and I mean tiny. The purple glaze sounds a very good idea.

Opinions are like arseholes. Everyone's got one and they all stink.

You could try washing with a very light blue.

PERSONALLY I would use a red/pink base to the albino. then just keep adding bone/white to it to highlight it up to it's final shade.

use thin highlights if you want to the base color to show through.

albino's typically have red/pink eyes and a pinkish/whitish hue to their skins.

do a quick google search of albino and check out some of the pics, they will certainly give you a great idea of where to start and where to go.

Well, just look for pictures of hypomelanastic bearded dragons. I always thought they kinda looked like saurus.

Instead of blue or bone, I'd go with a pastel yellow base, as that's what most/many albino reptile and lizard species have. For some good pics, check this site and do a search for Albino.

P.S. Oh, and if anyone cares...
