My friend a person with large pockets and a passion for silver paint(everything he paints is silver) Doesn't understand how chaos works. One of his best ideas is to use his khorne berserkers to shoot while his thousand sons aim for close combat?!?!? I've tried to tell him that his Khorne berserkers will squish lots of things in close combat but he believes i'm trying to trick him so he loses. If anyone has got any good tactics for chaos please post them so he has a chance of winning a game. Even better the tactics need to work with only 600 points

I'm not kidding. You expect us to give you tactics that will help someone who doesn't realise that Berzerkers are for CC and TSons are for shooting? Really? That's like trying to explain NMM painting techniques to someone who doesn't know which end of the brush to paint with.

My advise for your friend is Combat Patrol. Your group should play several rounds of that, and encourage your buddy to try different units out. These games go quickly, and will give him a fairly informal way to try things out. Then with a little experience under his belt, he can build his lists however.

Tell him to play two DPs and he is set. That's all you really need in 600 pts.

All joking aside. I don't believe Combat Patrol is the answer. I think if he plays with the Zerkers and Tsons in the same list in a 600 pt game he will immediately realize that the Tsons are not for close combat because they won't make it there. They have slow and purposeful they will have to move their 3 or 4 inches every turn and just take shots the aspiring sorcerer will probably be taking some good shots too. He'll see what they are for. And when the Zerkers can't shoot anyone due to not having bolters he'll realize they are for the HtH.
