Hi all,

I've always liked the look of NMM techniques but never known what colour to use etc. I was thinking of using the technique to paint gold parts on a pre-heresy Emperors Children model for a club painting comp but have no idea what colours are used to do it. Can anyone tell me what to use as a base and the highlight colours?

Thanks
Craig

Basic colour transitions in NMM gold using GW paints would be something like:

earth -> bubonic brown -> bone -> white

Apply some glazes with reddish brown, orange or green depending on the shade you want to give your gold.

Some good refrences can be found here

They are in Vallejo model colours but you can get the idea from them.
