I"m building a female farseer for my eldar force and I love the way its looking.

the biggest problem I'm having with it right now though is I've never modeled hair before... I tried last night a few times but it ended up looking like a furry mess.

thats the kind of hair im trying to make (other then that I didn't rip it off )

Use a sharpish knife (well lubricated) to drag downwards on the GS (or brownstuff or whatever), but keep it in one direction. Making sure the blade doesn't stick to the putty is the key.

That is a really sweet farseer so far. I wouldn't even be too worried about adding hair to be honest...Although good luck if you do! I have always avoided putting hair on my models, so can't really help you, sorry...

thank you!

i'm doing touch up on her to smooth out the ghosthelm and I"m going to add stones on the shoulders where the robe connects and one big one on the belt. I'm going to be doing touch up work on joints and hands etc later. hopefully the finished model will be a lot cleaner.

btw the wire, i'm going to be trying my first lighting effect on this model. I saw a tutorial for it and I think i'll be able to pull it off.

Looks really good, and I LOVE open source lighting effects, can't wait to see this finished.

lol well thanks everyone!

I wanted to put hair on her to emphasize the feminine feal of the model and help with flow. she's going to see her frist game today (if they'll let me proxy some guardians xP ) and we'll see how affective liskway is on the field.
