This 'rule' idea came about through too many apoc battles for my own good. If you look carefully on the Vortex Grenade template you cansee something that looks a bit like one of thsoe really far under the water fish with the light thing on its head. And this got me and my gaming 'group' thinking, and we/I came up with rules for a unit usable for Apocalypse only.

Ugly Mutant Vortex Fish
WS/BS/S/T/W/I/A/Ld/Sv
6/ 0/5/2/3/5/ 2/ 0/3+Invulnerable (Not armour)

Weapons/Equiptment: None

Special rules:Fearless
Mutant: Attacks ignore armour saves
Move 2D6 inches per turn, in direction of rolled scatter dice (In both sides turn, opposing side does rolling)can make them move into assault
Immune to instant death
Assault during movement phase, not assault phase, as part of 2D6 movement

Deployment: The fish are not deployed normally but instead appear out of the Vortex grenade template in the turn after it is thrown (that means they arrive in the next players turn, not the next turn of the side that threw it) They cannot be destroyed by the Vortex grenade if it passes over them, and so can also move through it without dying

These rules don't count as a strategic asset, and no points are payed for them, however both teams need to agree on their use before the game.

Please feel free to comment on this idea, and try them out if it suits you. And let me know what you think/how they work in your games of Apoc

Sounds like a sick twisted weapon that the Pan Fo would use on unsuspecting prey. I like it.

-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

You know (this is true) If two vortex grenades meet up during a game the become a small blast template. If another one joins it becomes a large blAst template and if 4 or more join up then it becomes a 10" baneblade template running around the table killing things. (From my local GW)

But like there'll be that many vortex grenades on the table half the time, and less likely they'll run into each other
