First Annual Great Lakes Masters Tournament Circuit. 2008

Head Judges: Ian Dudek, Woody Barker, Angel Fitzpatrick
Coordinators: Mark Chojnowski, Paul DiPonio, Brandon (Pandemonium), Angelo Fitzpatrick (Magic Bag)

1. This Tournament Circuit will be using the Official Grand Tournament 2008 rules packet.
2. Each Tournament will be 4 rounds.
3. Points: 1750
4. Cheese
5. The Qualifier Rounds will seat 30 people. The top 4 players will be eligible to the Main Masters Event.
6. Any player who qualifies for a Main event seat, May still participate in other circuit events how ever may not take a qualify twice but may qualify for circuit prize support.
7. Each Circuit Qualifier will have a 150 dollar prize support pool based on Best Over all, Best General, Best Painted and Best Sportsman.
8. Each Player that scores in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th will qualify on the main event. (Based on Overall Points)
9. The cost of each qualifier round will be 25 dollars.
10. All Armies MUST be painted in order to receive a qualifying score.
11. Two Tournaments will be at The Fortress (East Lansing), Pandemonium (Garden City/Detroit) and Planeswalkers Magic Bag (Jackson)
12. Lunch will be included at each event. (Plus a few snacks)
13. Each of the top 4 Players will be receiving a T Shirt (this is your Masters event Entry Pass)
14. Each Player Must Bring Multiple Copies of there Army List.
15. Forge World Rules will not be allowed.
16. Any player who has previously qualified in an event may still play in another qualifier. This player is also eligible if he places 1st. 2nd, 3rd and 4th to then bring a different army for the main event.

I know this is going to sound confusing but bear with us.

Qualifying: The top four players at an event who have not previously qualified will be qualified for the main event.

Example: Joe, Bob, Frank and Walt Place 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively at a qualifier. Joe and Bob have already qualified. So the Qualifying spots now go to 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th.
Joe and Bob are now certified to bring either army that they qualified with.


Masters Tournament:

1.Final Tournament will cost 15 dollars.
2.Event Cost 15 dollars.
3.Army MUST be painted for this event.
4.Must use an army you are certified with. (You may change you list, but if you played Space Marines, you must play with Space Marines in the final. IE Not Tyranids or Blood Angels).
5.We are using the Grand Tournament 2008 Rules Packet.
6.Will be held at the Fortress
7.Players that are UNABLE to make this event must contact a judge so that another player may fill the slot.
8.24 Players will be at this event.
9.This event is a Invite only event (Must have qualified)
10.First, Second, Third and Forth will be receiving a Great Lakes Masters Tournament Circuit Trophy (Grand Tournament Glass Trophy) Which will be sent in to have there name etched on the Trophy
11.First Place players name will go up on the Circuit Wall Plaque.
12.This Tournament will be 4 rounds.
13. Prize support will be valued at a minimum of 1000 dollars. (more realistically around 1500-2000)
Dates will be announced by the end of the week.

We reserve the right to add or remove items from this.

All Registrations are at 9am and Event Start at 10am.

Interesting idea. I always loved gaming at The Fortress; the only thing lacking was an adjacent Jimmy John's to flood the store with fresh-baked bread smell....

Next time, you should reach out to Toledo and get the Ohio crew involved. Maybe Chicago as well....

Judging by the current sign ups for the first tourney, Toledo is involved just fine.

I'm just thinking they might like to stay home once in a while.
