Community Sale
On Saturday June 7th, Danger Planet will be hosting the first ever Community Sale. What is a Community Sale you ask? It is where members of our community can come and place long forgotten items up for sale to each other, and passers by. It’s not unlike a garage sale that your parents or grandparents may have had. The major difference is, we don’t have a garage.
What can I sell?
Items you bring must be for general audience. When it comes to DVDs and games with an R or M rating, the box must NOT show any objectionable material. They must be clean and orderly displayed in the space given as well.
Is there a limit to what I can bring?
Space will be limited, depending on how many people sign up for the sale. A suggestion would be to bring as many items as you want, and see what you can neatly arrange in the given space.
Do I need to stay all day with my items?
You must be present at set up (11AM) and Takedown (5PM). That being said, you should know that DP will not be held accountable should something go missing, nor will we be able to answer questions about your items.
Are all sales final?
Yes, for both the seller and the buyer. DP will not be taking responsibility for any item sold at the Community Sale. Do not sell or buy anything you will regret later.
Do I make 100% of the money from my sales?
Because we are providing the space and manpower for the sale, the answer is no. However, Danger Planet won’t ask for much either. You will make 85% from your sales and DP will make 15%. That means we only take 15 cents on the dollar.
How do I get paid?
At the end of the sale, you will receive store credit for the amount of your sales, minus the 15% mentioned above.
Is there sales tax?
Yes, when you buy something there will be tax added onto the purchase. However, you will not need to worry about sales tax on your end. Since DP is handling all sales, we will be paying the state its due for you.
How do I sign up?
Send forum member Bazil (Michael Eichner) a Private Message on the DP Forums.
