Does GW still make the 25mm round bases without the slot? For my plastics, I like to glue a washer or nickel on the bottom of the base to give it some weight. The GW site only has the 25mm round with slot and the box of Orks I got only came with the slotted bases.

That's... odd to say the least.

My last few purchases (especially of newer models O_o) have been unslotted bases, examples springing to mind are the two boxes of Boyz I grabbed in March/April and a box of Chaos Possessed.

So I'd think they are, although it might be pot luck, but the new models seem to be molded sans Slotta.

Agreed. I picked up a box of 10 Boyz, which came with the bases I wanted, them my Ork Battleforce showed up with the slotted version.

You can get 30 of them in this set (in the modelling supplies section of the tools bit)

Opinions are like arseholes. Everyone's got one and they all stink.

i saw that, but I thought I recalled also seeing a note that those were slottabases. If that is not the case, then I'll pick up a set of those.

They are slotta bases, I ordered 2 sets of those last week (from US), and they came in the prepackaged set that has slotta bases. Called them last night, and the customer service guy said its an error on the website, and that the model sheet they have shows slotta bases. Whats worse, they do not currently have the ability to sell just the non slotta 25mm bases. They ended up refunding me the cost of the sets.

I think you can still get the slot-less bases when you buy some standart plastic infantry like cadians, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's not the case anymore

Yeah, I did a quick search on ebay and I'll probably end up getting some from one of the sellers. I need to figure out what else I want so too.

Old boxes of Troops had them. I guess it's easier and cheaper to make slottabases? Think of the crapload of money they're saving on the plastic that used to cover the slot.

Not really, since there's plastic going down at the sides of the slot.

If you plan to glue some sand on them anyway, a piece of clear tape will do the trick.

It's more about the tabs on the bottom. I glue nickels/1- pfenning pieces on the bottom which gives the plastics some nice weight. It's just too much trouble to snip and file those down.

I got non slotted bases in a new box of daemonettes (both the round and the square fantasy ones) so i think they should still be making them at least.

I just got a new box of Bloodletters and they came with the slotted bases. In any case, I just ordered 40 of them from TheWarStore
