Anyone ever tried that? I've played it once with a Bauhaus army. Pretty rad actually, more detailed small skirmishes.

I used to play a Capital force. My old club had three other players (one bauhaus, one Imperial and a demonic one (name escapes me). It was a fun little game. My club died, and then I moved away and no-one played it out here.

Quite a few of my capital marines have managed to infiltrate into my marine army as "scouts", the other forces have become part of my IG.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

It was "the dark legion".

I use my old Mishima army as count as Eldar as the minis were too different to mix with the huge IG platoons. But I love those shoulderpads. BTW
I read in this forum that WZ might be making a come back as a game (not the 54mm size collective one from company) but I´m not sure.

You're thinking of the Fantasy Flight Mutant Chronicles CMG

As far as I know Warzone is super-mega-ultra-dead. Excelsior Entertainment had the rights and then they went boobies-up.

I've got a painted Imperial Army and unpainted Capitol, Bauhaus and Mishima armies. I never liked the Dark Legion or Tribes of Earth armies as they never got the second Ed treatment.

Yeah, I was talking about that as the 54mm game, but I also heard about ANOTHER company selling new minis but I guess that´s the Mishima in me hoping.
BTW a Daturazi as an avatar, do you play Infinity?

Yup, I wrote a review of it on this forum somewhere about two years ago.

I've got Ariadna, Combine and PanOc armies for Infinity.

I liked the mechanics of Warzone a lot. I thought the Dark Legion unecessary, though; there was plenty of strife to be had just among the corporations.

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

Don´t remind me of those best forgoten happy days! I was young and gullible dating a japanese beauty when my friends showed me this new game that had samurais troopers.....
Now I´m married to (a different one but that´s life) a japanese beauty with a display case full of Mishima that I use as a count as eldar army because nobody seems to know Warzone.

Warzone had some really nice miniatures in the line.I have loads of the miniatures.Cyclopes Forge does some miniatures that can proxy for miniatures that were not released. They also do ones to use in Chronopia too.Link below for any interested people.

I found the rumor again. Somebody wrote on the surviving Warzone forum that PP was interested but I doubt it, for starters the IP of Warzone is still avaible but it would have to compete with the Mutant Chronicles of FFG.

Kev White sculpted all the good Warzone minis. I used to play Capitol and Cybertronic. The background was pretty cool, but the rules always seemed to be one edition behind 40K.

I never had much hope for Excelsior's version. However, it was nice to have all that background more or less packaged into one book.

IMHO Infinity has captured the best aspects of a good Warzone game. Smaller scale lists with more tactical options baked into the rules.

There was a Mutant Chronicles movie that pulled off some pre production work. It looked pretty convoluted even with John Malkovish and Ron Perlman starring in it.

Infinity is okay, but really breaks down and gets rules heavy the more you up the points (including lots of battlesuits helps).

For me the best part of Warzone was the Kev White stuff. The first Ed. models were AWFUL (with only a few exceptions).

By the way, if you guys want any rulebook (including the Excelsior ones) they're all free PDF's on this guy's site.

The treasure trove of Warzone Goodness. Why doesn't someone do this for VOR? Then my old mini games rules collection could be super-mega-ultra complete.... as opposed to just super-mega.

Hi,

I always liked Warzone and still have a game now and again.

You might want to check out the Prince August site for plenty of Warzone (Chronopia) goodness.

The Mutant Chronicles movie is looking pretty good although it takes a different spin on the background. The move is much more steampunk.

I've been paintin' and playin' Warzone recently; it's been awesome! I had forgotten how much I liked this game system. Action based skirmish games are fantastic, and allow for some excellent tactical wargaming.

I'm on the hunt for proxies of any of the 1st ed Corporate models, because to use them with the later Kev White stuff is a travesty. I'm not so picky about the Dark Legion as they are mutated monstrosities. I will eventually be converting up 60 Undead Legionaries outta GW zombies.
