Hi everyone, I am a London based gamer who has recently decided to get back into the habit after a good 9 years out. I just felt like painting some of my figures one day about 2 weeks ago and thats how the beautiful reunion started. Perhaps some day I will finally have more than just a primed black army. Anyway, I play the mighty Orks.
BTW does anyone know when the Enfield store closed down as this is where my memories started and I was sorry to see it now replaced with an estate agents

Welcome to Dakka! I think Enfield closed down a year or two ago - GW had a spring cleaning and took out a load of unprofitable stores (including Richmond near me), but most of them were outside of the UK.

Check out our new, fully plastic tabletop wargame - Maelstrom's Edge, made by Dakka!

Well I think it helps when you have a brother who is into it too. It's strange though, I stopped playing and so did he but he continued being avidly interested in the hobby. He would buy white dwarf every month and the occasional codex, yet he hadn't played a game in years or even looked at his models. So hearing him all the time got me thinking about how much i enjoyed it and I just had the nagging urge to carry on from where I left off. The weird thing is, is that I think me comming back and buying new models has inspired him to "come back" to it too, if anyone follows.

Welcome back. I too, came back to painting after a fairly long stint away.
