I have been reading up on some of the new rules for the coming 5th ed switch. It looks like play styles and armies will have to change drastically. I have always liked the look of the tau army. People have been saying that they might suffer big problems in 5th ed. I have attempted to make a list that might be able to compete in the new setting.

The idea is the HQ units wandering around the back lines providing close fire support with there right ROF weapons. The lines of fire warriors providing long range anti infantry fire support. The stealth and crisis suits provide medium range anti infantry and light armor support and the broadsides and skimmers providing anti armor support with help from marker light squad leaders. This army should be able to hold off both hordes and mek armies rather well. Due to the sheer volume of firepower I think it could even handle nid monster armies. Not to mention 75 possible scoring units that all have to be killed isn't anything so laugh at.

As always any C&C is appreciated.

You can only take one cyclic ion blaster, maybe switch one out for an AFP since you don't have any hammerheads to drop pie plates.

.................................... Searching for Iscandar

You missed something when you read the 5th edition rules.

Changing your playstyle drastically...isn't something you have to do.

Tau are fine in 5th.

Your broadsides are questionable.
