Hello peoples! It's Ebullient here, as you've proabably guessed. My friend and I are about to start Warhammer 40k, and after looking through the articles at the amazing Industrial Terrain by Tazok I suddenly remembered something. At my school every year for the class specifically designed for the above and beyond kids, such as myself, there's a thing called, doo da doooo, the Creativity Fair. Here, the above and beyonders show off their creative talents. Since I was unable to participate this year passed, I thought I'd participate in the year to come.
My friend is in the class with me and we decided to start a project together. So, the idea was born, we were going to build the spectacular gaming table articlized by Redbeard and also make our own full scale terrain! I'm super excited about this project. Of course, the table will not actually be entered, only by photo's, since it's a little too big to haul around, even with removable bolts or screws. The terrain however, will be set stable enough for us to figure some way of getting it to and from. We have just decided to do this today and are currently compiling a list of terrains we could use. The list we have so far is as follows:
Hilly Woodlands
Necron Desert
Trashed Industrial Area
Bombed Out Warzone
Glass Roofed Building
Rocky Desert
Woodlands
Island Chain
Mountain/Volcano Village
Castle
Cityscape
Marsh
Tundra
Santa's Workshop
Burning City
Burning Savannah
Ruins
Eldar Outpost
Outpost
Lava Field
Graveyard
Seaside Cliffs
Beach Front
Plagued Plains
Abandoned Village
Sarloc Pit (Heh heh, awesome)
Cloud Platforms
Space Port
Sewer System
Ork Camp
River
Rondown Docks
Jailbreak
Bridged Mountaintops
Any others you could add would be quite shiney, thanks! Of course, we're just compiling a list as of now, we'll most likely decide on terrain after we've chosen our respective armies, as the terrain will be made to fit the gaming table mentioned above, and will often be used for games.
I'll use this thread for updates on the project as it unfolds, cheerio, and thanks for ideas.
