Hello, I am hoping to get some feedback on my current 4th ed SoB list and any possible changes you would make specifically with 5th ed in mind. As it sits now this list is a very stream lined 2k list, perhaps not perfectly optimised but it has been a strong list to date. One thing I would really like to see stay in the list is the Land Raider as it has been converted heavily and is a center piece of my army. Thanks in advance for any tweaks.

I'd possibly look at dropping on of the rhino's so you could pop a unit of sisters in the Land raider perhaps?

I would drop the smoke & extra armor from the exorcists to gain some Books of St Lucius in your squads. 5th Ed will have a much higher ability to modify Ld than in the past - and you will need that unmodifiable Ld ability.

Always Always Always Always Always Always Always Always Always Always Always put vets with a book in your squads, I can't stress this enough. You gain faithfull, a point of faith and the unmodified leadership is wicked awesome! You should also put eviscerators on your Sister Superiors and change all your sisters squads to Heavy Flamer/Melta units. Also, why the landraider with 2 guys in it? Seems like a waste of points when you could have a large unit of Seraphim and the aformentioned upgrades to your squads.

I agree that putting Sisters in the Landraider would be fun. I might remove the sage and plasma pistol from the Inquisitor, and instead give it Scourging. Then the Inq can hop into a Sister unit, and they can all hold hands and sing hyms to the Emperor together. Drop one Rhino, put two more girls in the squad with a book and eviscerator, and go to town. I might do that with Celestians instead of regular girls, but having the extra immolators for vehicle count is fairly nice.

Doesn't an inquisitor HAVE to take at least 3 henchmen, meaning no sisters can join him?

Only the HQ Inquisitor Lord. Elite Inquisitors have a retinue of 0-6.

In order to take a Land Raider as a transport, the Inquisitor needs a retinue. I've tried convincing my opponents that a Retinue of zero still counts as a retinue, but they didn't seem to buy it. A minimum six point familiar should do though.

The retinue rules out the Inquisitor attaching to Sisters, but in 5th edition, the Sisters can ride in the Land Raider anyway.

Thanks to you all so far.
@StJohn, i had forgotten about the books new greatness so most squads will now have one.

@Wehrkind and Battlekai good idea, and there will now be a close quarters Celestian unit riding in the Land Raider

@Kroeger, as has been said the Inquisitor is simply there to hand over the keys to the Land Raider.

So after rereading the rumors about 5th I have juggled the list a bit more. See what you think.

Canoness 115
w/ jump pack, eviscerator, cloak, BoSL

Inquisitor 286
w/ bolter and familiar
Land Raider w/ smoke, extra armor

Celestians (10 strong) 188
Vet w/ Evis and BoSL, 1 flamer, 1 heavy flamer

Sisters (14 strong) 193
Vet w/ BoSL, 2 melta guns

Sisters (2 units of these) (12 strong) 171
Vet w/ BoSL, 2 melta guns

Dominions (2 units of these) (6 strong) 203
Vet, 2 melta guns
Immolator w/ multi meltas, smoke, and extra armor

Excorcist x2 143
w/ smoke, extra armor

Retributors (10 strong) 184
Vet, 4 heavy bolters.

2000 points
9 faith
71 girls
5 vehicles

So, a rather large change. By dropping the troops sisters down to 3 units and eliminating the rhinos i was able to save quite a few points. I also dropped an Excorcist and to compensate for the loss of the anti tank, I made the dominions anti tank oriented. I am a bit nervous about the loss of mobility in the regular sisters squads though.

Also my vehicle count is down to 5 from 10, but I have more faith and 18 more bodies. I also made the basic sisters ranged focused instead of mixed duty. Without the rhinos I felt this was a better choice. Hopefully the Retributors will also help me with horde armies since they are on the rise in 5th. I am not entirely comfortable with this new list but it seemed that Sisters would benefit more from a combined arms approach this edition than last edition.
