Hey all,

I am currently in the process of making a true scaled marine army. The army list below has been made with the Dark Angel codex, which I primarily used just for point values and little else until Codex:Space Marines comes out next October. This list is primarily designed for planning purposes to see how many marines I might need and so I can over the summer get the parts I need and get these guys up and running. I view these guys as my version of the Deathwatch chapter, but not just xenos hunters, but also to take down the witch and the daemon as well. I guess they would be a variant of the Red Hunter chapter, but I don't have a name for them yet.

This is the color scheme I am thinking of:

and here are a couple of WIP shots, to show their scale:
My True scale vs a normal GW marine:

My True scale vs My converted Light infantry/Cameleoline guardsman:

Hopefully when I am deeper into the project, I will do a full Blog here on dakka, if anyone is interested! Anyway enough of my introduction and here is the list!

HQ:
Chaplain - bare bones w/Command Squad consisting of Apothecary, Standard Bearer and Company Champion
All mounted in a Heavy Bolter Razorback - 310pts

(I know command squads are often frowned upon, but I am doing them more for modeling purposes than anything else)

Troops:
3x10 Marines Vet Sgt w/Powerfist LasCannon/Plasma Gun Mounted in a Rhino - 780pts
1x5 Marines w/Plasma gun (maybe a meltagun instead) mounted in a Heavy Bolter Razorback - 155pts

Heavy Support:
2xVindicators - 250pts

Total: 1495pts

So what do you think? 7 Rhino chassis' 3 lasCannons, 3-4 Plasma guns, 2 Heavy bolters and 2 demolisher Cannons?

Thanks for looking and for whatever feedback you might have!
Chappy P!

PS: Any chapter name suggestions would be appreciated as well!

A Rhino chassis' wall is certainly a solid choice.
However, the Cmd squad needs to be beefed up.
Give the Chaplain a bolt pistol for an extra attack and add a Vet Serg with a power fist.
The Rhino squads don't need lascannons.

@Wuestenfux: In the DA codex the chaplain comes with a bolt pistol included in his cost. I'll see where I might try to squeeze points for the vet sgt powerfist...

I also have the 3 lascannons for Anti-tank purposes, which I am not sure if I want to lose them. With non-dedicated transports and the fact that the squads all have the combat squad special rule, I figured I would leave a five man lascannon squad in cover somewhere and then load the rest of the squad to run around the board grabbing objectives and blasting at the enemy, etc.

I am not sure if the 2 vindicators will be enough AT to justify me losing the LasCannons in the Rhino squads, but I am willing to consider anything.

Thanks,
Chappy P!

Can;t take a company champion without a Company commander. Also can't take a standard bearer without either a company or chapter master or an interragator chaplain.

@Ratbarf: You're partial right and partially wrong, just as I am...You're right about the Company Champion so I just gained 25pts...However, I can have a standard bearer, but I cannot have a sacred Standard due to my lack of a Interrogator chaplain. Again, I am not playing Dark Angels, but I am using the list mainly for the point values and general layout as I feel like this is how the new Codex: Space Marines will be handled.

Any other thoughts?

Thanks,
Chappy P!
