Greetings!

New to this site, although by no means new to wargaming or internet forums. Looking forward to seeing what flavor of drama this forum has that's different from others.

So I live in Mississippi currently (have lived lots of other places over the years) and play Imperial Guard. Relatively new to 40k (almost a year now I guess), started playing cause I was tired of having a hard time finding players for other tabletop wargames. Whatever you want to say about Games Workshop... 40k is the least difficult game to find some players for.

Anyway, good to be signed up here now. Have been lurking for a while, I think I prefer dakkadakka to several other 40k forums I've seen.

So yeah. Hmm. Any questions?

Welcome to dakka! Do you tend to use painted models for your games or stick with greys and silvers?

@ lego...

I'm in the process of painting what I own, which as you know can be quite the feat for a Guard player. I'm deliberately using a fairly simple paint scheme to try and speed things along... but still so many infantry to paint.

@ Huzz...

Next purchase will probably be the 5th Edition book. But if you meant models... I'm not really sure. I've got enough backlog of painting that I probably wont buy any new models for a couple months while I get caught up. When I do, it'll probably be Chimeras.

That is the main reason I have avoided guard (and orks) so far. Guard are going to break me with the next codex release I think though!
