Lately I have been hearing about how well the nuns should do under the 5th ed rules set. Between plentiful cover, scoring infantry, and the run rule, non mech sisters suddenly look good. This is basically the list I came up with. Personally I am satisfied with this list other than the lack of seraphim. However that is minor and I think would also take away from the basic goal of the army. That is to have too many bodies to effectively take down all the scoring units and have many mutually supportive units. There is both tons of AP1 anti tank and AP4-5 anti infantry. I think this list could take on swarms and mech armies with little problem. It lacks a little in the CC dept but so do most SOB armies. I figure with the 2 jumping cannonesses and the eviscorator wielding vet sisters I have decent counter assault units. The rets and exorcists provide long range cover fire and when the enemy gets within 12' they should be blasted down. I included the auspexes for 2 reasons. I had 11 points to spend and I figured it would do well against the odd infiltrating unit. It may not be the best thing but it would certainly be unexpected. Anyway as usual any C&C would be welcome.

Not a huge fan of 2 Exorcists and no other armored targets. Personally, I'd either swap the Rets for another Exorcist and/or mount up more of my sisters. You also might as well get Bolt Pistols for your two Canoness. They come naked and its an extra shot on the way into melee.

What do the Celestians bring to the army? Numbers? I could see 3 cheap 5 man squads with multimeltas (I know, they usually stink but its only 80 pts each) and drop the retributors to pad the troop squads a little. 10 person walking sisters in my experience cannot take a lot of fire before being too crippled to do serious damage. They need a few more people.

If you keep the celestians, for the "hidden eviscerator" in the celestians, 5 bodies is way too small. It is really way to easy to wipe out 5 t3 models in CC (even without powerweapons). Eviscerators work better in large squads where they can swing for awhile.

The 11 points could probably be better spent on buying 2 more books of St. Lucius. They are worth their wieght in gold.

I would put more bodies in with the retributors. Having to lose Faithful or a HB on the first casualty is going to hurt. 3-4 ablative Sisters will help, not only on casualty removal, but also in getting off Divine Guidance. Put a Storm Bolter on the Vet, and a 10 girl squad can pop off 12 Str5 and 7 Str4 shots at 24". Not too shabby.

I agree that the Celestians could probably use more bodies. Dropping one and filling another out to 10 girls with heavy flamer and either flamer/melta and an eviscerator will go a long ways. I would probably pull the auspex's as well off the troops. Unless you face infiltrating 'nids a lot or something.

In general, I would use Celestians to get Immolators for extra vehicles or one as a counter charge Eviscerator pit. Unfortunately they don't seem to do both at the same time. If you go the Immolator route, you might consider putting a heavy bolter in the squad, and using it as a minimalist retributor squad (to save heavy support slots for more Exorcists.)

aaarrrrrggghhh.... Put books on your sister superiors, and buy eviscerators for a couple of the basic sister squads so they arent completly helpless in CC. I think you would be much better off if you dropped one of the troops squads and used the points there to Bulk out the Celestines and the Rets. Also you should put inferno pistols on both of the cannoneses. I would also recomend making all your troops into Heavy Flamer/ Melta Squads for versatility and hitting power.
