Hey guys, Im just wondering how D cannons and Wraith cannons will work in 5th ed. with the removal of the glancing/penetrating system are they going to just get -2 on the results (for vehicles) on a 3-4 and a strait up roll on a 5-6? thanks in advanced?
They should actually end up being really good vehicle killers. If you roll a glance on their chart, it means you roll on the vehcile damage chart at -2, +1 for being ap 1, so the net effect is -1 for glancing hits. If you get a pen, you roll on the vehicle damage chart at +1 (bringing you back to 4th edition leavels of leathality). Seems like these weapons get a boost in 5th.

but on the other sided of the scale, the vibro cannon has become heavily weakened ... ap - & auto glancing hit = a -3 roll on the damage table which is almost not worth having.
