My FLGS is running some 5ed preview games next week.
Even though combat patrol is not in 5ed (as far as I have heard), the manager wants everyone to use 400pt combat patrol lists for the games .

I've got to use SoB (as they are the only fully painted 40k minis I have at the moment ) but I'm struggling with the list. No matter which way I put it together, I either end up with 2 decent units and about 50pts spare, or 3 stripped down units which don't seem to be able to acheive anything useful.

Does anyone have any ideas for a list?

Here is what I'd probably go with. Palatine with Litanies to bump your Faith up to 4. Give her a Celestian Retinue so she can hide in it as per 5th ed. rules. Meltaguns for vehicles. You might consider swapping some meltaguns for Heavy Flamers if you like. Fast Skimmers and Tau Suits will probably be the biggest issues. I'd take Seraphim to help will that, but it would essentially limit the army to 2 faith.

I can make suggestions... but it helps to know what general models you have first.

thanks! I might put some heavy flamers in as my FLGS has plenty of buildings so getting rid of cover saves is good.

2x heroines (1 has sword/pistol the other has combi-flamer and 'big 'I' hitty thing)

46x Sisters (2x Heavy Flamers, 4x Heavy Bolters, 4x Meltaguns, 4x Stormbolters, 2x Flamers, 24x Bolters, 2x Bolter/Imagifer, 4x Pistol/CCW)

Mistress + 9x Repentia

6x Seraphim (3 normal, 2 with twin flamers, vet with pistol/sword)

16 Stormies (12x normal, 2x plasmaguns, 2x grenade launchers)

I also have 3 Rhino/Immolator models with one of each heavy weapon mount and an Exorcist (although I won't be able to use that if we're playing combat patrol.
