What is your battle plan for this army? My off the cuff guess would be you are going to put the farseers with the dire avengers to pass out guide and then doom whatever target you can focus 2 squads at once on. Back this up with vypers and dreadnaughts as needed and leave the scouts in your back field to hold rear objectives.

A couple of thoughts.

1) While the avengers are set up so that they can last a while in hand to hand, they still don't have any hand to hand punch. What do you plan to do if the enemy ends up in hand to hand with them?

2) Your dreadnaughts have bright lances on them, but no secondary weapon. I would recommend you juggle points around a bit and see about working out a way to get them missile launchers as well. The additional anti tank fire power will help.

3) Vypers with bright lances are expensive and easy to kill. I'm not sure if you really want to have them equipped like this. It might be better to go down to star cannons (you don't have much in the way of low ap shots) or scatter lasers (good and cheap) and use the saved points to get the dreadnaughts their missile launchers. Also make sure you are running the vypers are 3 squads of 1 rather than one squad of 3. It makes them harder to kill overall.

4) I would highly recommend giving one (and only one) of your farseers runes of warding. At 10 points, they are well worth the protection that they offer against enemy psy powers.

**** Phoenix ****

Threads should be like skirts: long enough to cover what's important but short enough to keep it interesting.

If you want to make a stand off shooty army like this, go with what Phoenix said (I recommend scatter lasers for your vypers).

I'd replace the DA with rangers (pathfinders specifically), and toss in a unit of harlies (or two) to protect them from CC.

where do you plan to hide your farseers?

if they go solo, they are toast at the end of turn 3 (latest possibility)!

ya it's actually a list for a friend of mine. my plan was to line up the DA squads and stick the farseers behind them in cover, and just use the wraithlords and vypers for anti tank. i could drop the vypers down to scatter lasers or star cannons and that should be enough to add missile launchers. if not ill drop the pathfinders down a few. and i honestly dont see many armies getting close enough to the DA without getting demolished(i tried to give them as much survivability as possible), and wouldnt it be possible to use a wraithlord or 2 as a counter-charge? but ya phoenix pretty much guessed it
