lately Ive been having trouble fighting a Eldar player and he likes to horde Guardians i play Tyranids at the current moment i have no strategy i just horde Genestealers, Termagaunts, and Sporemines what should i do?


any and all suggestions will be helpful.

What models do you have?


Does he have an Avatar? If not, multiple Psyhic Screams will do a number on him. A flying Tyrant will also do a number on guardian, especially with Toxic Miasma (They will only hit you on 5s in CC).

Lictors, Ravenors to deep strike and get into CB ASAP while your other troops march in, fexes in the frontline to absorb dmg, armed them with BS should be good enuf, get a flying hive in too, should scare the s$#@ out of him

i have Genestealers, Termagaunts, hormagaunts and Sporemines.

A couple of thing. Fist off, remember that guardians have a huge amount of fire power they can lay on you at 12" (18 if you count their movement beforehand). The trick is to stay out of this range whenever possible. Now on your turn, you can move up into the 19-20" area away from him. Then on your turn, use your hormagunts to move forward 6, fleet 1d6, and then charge 12. This should get you into hand to hand with him. Remember you can declair multiple units as targets for a charge so long as you can move models into base to base with both units and still keep your unit in 2" coherency. Once you got a unit or two stuck in hand to hand, then you can move up with your termagunts.

Another thing to keep in mind is that guardian shooting is all ap5, so your genestealers should all have extended carapace to give them a 4+ save and allow them to actually survive a round of guardian fire if they have to.
