...

Hi all. I'm new to 40k, painting, and the Forums, so please forgive me if this is common knowledge, but I couldn't figure out a decent search term to find my answer. I have a Biovore that I put on a larger base than needed because I was having trouble with it on a smaller base (getting it to sit right, basically). It's a metal model, super-glued onto the base.

I have since gotten a second Biovore, and figured out my stupidity with the first one. Also, now that I've actually played the game a few times, I can appreciate the smaller base for doing my deployment (and the fact that with a smaller base it fits into an Econobox nicely).

So, all that being said, is there a best practice for removing a base and replacing it? Obviously, I can saw and cut with care, but I figured I'd ask, in case there's some amount of art to the process that I might be missing.

If it's just superglue, you should be able to snap it off with little more than maybe some chipped paint around the edges of his hooves, depending on how much glue you used.

If its a plastic base. Just bend it and its gona pop off. Might need to grip the base with some pliers to get a better grip. Just go slowly.

Thanks guys. That was a lot easier than sawing A couple of good bends and it popped right off.

use side cutters to trim off the 'exposed' parts of the base then mount it on a suitable size. use green stuff to blend the two together to form a mound then hide it all with a sand / gravel finish.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!
