Subject: Brushes - Which brand is the best?

Did some searching and could not find anything related to what I'd like to know.
I'm looking to pick up new brushes, as it's time to kill off the old; or use them to dry brush.
What brand of brushes would you recommend? Price really isn't a concern. I've tried brushes from Hobby Lobby and they work for a while. In the end they tend to either curl up or split out.

For painting miniatures, the Citadel line is sufficient. For high end detail work, control, and a point that keeps with proper care, go with the Winsor & Newton Series 7 Miniature brushes. They are made from Kolinsky Sable. Da Vinci also makes an excellent series for miniature painting.
A lot of art stores (Art Store Warehouse, Dick Blick, etc.), actually carry them.

i second the reccomendation for both da vinci, and w&n series 7...dick blick has the best deals...
i find the citadel brushes to be great when they are new, but they wear out a lot faster than the high end brushes...better to pay twice as much for a brush that lasts 4x longer...
cheers

Besides the mentioned W&N 7's and Da Vinchi, I would suggest Raphael 8404's.
I buy mine from The Italian art store
http://italianartstore.com/store/8404Brushes.html
Dickblick.com also carries them.
All these brushes are natural hair brushes made from Red Sable, (Its like a small hairy squirrel from Russia. They will last much longer and give you a muh nicer finish guaranteed you take care of them. Clean them well after every use, never let them stand in a dirty water cup.
