Hi, I'm not technically new around here, but it's been a long, long time since I've posted.
I was a regular user 2 or 3 servers ago (had around 2K posts) but as happens all-too-often I got burned out on
GW & wargaming. I had been playing
40K since the release of 2nd Edition and have cycled through so many armies as to be ridiculous. BAck when I was on here, my big
40K armies were Salamanders (my user name is actually the name of my old Sallie Chaplain), Eldar and Tau.
When 4th Edition was released I decided I was done and have sold up all my model and such. As a consequence I haven't played in forever and really don't know what the gaming community around here is like over than that there's a
GW store on the other side of town.
Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in...
I got back into the specialist games and have been playing around with
BFG (Tau fleet) for a while, and then I purchased the 1st 3 Books of the Horus Heresy series (I see there's a nother 5 now) and the Eisenhorn collection.
I see that there's a new edition of
40K coming out, so I figure 40K5 is the perfect excuse for me to return to the fold. So, I'm back looking around dakka, as well as trying to figure out what I want to start with to have a good sized 40K5 Tau army. I figure 2-devilfish mounted
FCW squads and a Commander suit will be my first purchases after the new rulebook and the Tau Empire codex.
So having basically at out 4th Edition, what have I misseed?
