Everyone keeps talking about the Golden Throne being broken? What? It seems that I am the only person in North america that has not seen a leaked/downloaded/early copy of the new book. Please, could some one fill me in on the new fluff?

The golden thrown is failing and like with many things the techpriests no longer know about the technology to repair it.

My prediction, if anyone cares, is that Cypher finally comes and kills the emperor who then ascends to godhood, at the same time the eldar god of the dead forms and the "good" guys actually start to have a chance against the chaos gods. This may be wishful thinking but it wouldnt horriby influence the game, gameplay wise.

Thank you for the post. I am a HUGE fan of the Fluff, and I LOVE the whole concept of the God Emperor. It would be cool if what you have posted turns out to be true. Afterall, why should the Sisters get all of the Emperor's Power!!!

Anyone know by chance where one might be able to see the leaked rulebook?

I believe that's people imsinterperating the tablet from xenology though isn't it ?

The revelations in Legion would tend to suggest that Eldar, indeed ALL survival actually hinges on the death of humanity.

I'm curious as to what will happen as/when/if the Throne finally fails : the visions series has that massive daemonic legion trying to get through, assuming the event would be noticed by the chaos gods-- and I cannot see it not being-- Terra would be overrun in pretty short order I reckon.

Correction - Terra SHOULD be overrun.

Maybe GW will have the Orks betraying their Chaos allies at an inconvenient moment, an army of the dead turning up to kill off the Chaos forces and a mysterious smith who's the reincarnation of the Emperor killing Abaddon and then vanishing?

Having been tangentially involved in game design with a game company (which shall not be named) on its deathbed, I can tell you from my experience that while GW may drop hints about the end being nigh, until they're about to go bankrupt and lose the company, they won't actually act on anything.

Killing off the Emperor would be a last ditch effort to regain enough market share to remain fiscally soluble. It's a win-win situation. If the ploy doesn't work and the company goes under, it's a fitting ending. If it's enough to keep the company afloat, then it gives the company an excuse to reboot the line and start a new and dramatic era. But as long as GW's making money, you can bet they'll keep on with the status quo.

Yeah. I would just wait for the Eldar god of death, for he is meant to be powerful enough to beat Slaanesh. However he wouldn't be strong enough to beat Khorne.

He must not beat khorne. The eldar already worship Khaine (khorne in disguise, hehe).

The Golden Throne fails and the Emporer returns to a mangled Imperium and instead of killing everyone else. He just orders new window treatments and moves to Puerto Rico with the newly arrived Leman Russ and Vulkan as his cabana boys.

The Golden Throne, Chaos Gods, and any other Gods arn't gona matter once the Void Dragon consumes the Galaxy. Least, I hope he shows himself sometime.

Either that or he repairs the golden throne, as he is the king of machines. He has to dig his way out of mars, one grain of sand at a time.
