that looks pretty good for 1000pts.

you run your warriors behind a gaunt screen and infiltrate with your brood lord and stealers round the back of everything.

my only quibble is that if your opponent deloys right at the back of their zone your fex and stealers wont be able to kill enough of them before the blow big holes in most of your army. if you opponent also has 2 or more tanks you will have difficulty dealing with them, but at 1000 points few armies do.

At 1000 points the nidzilla lists totally rips thru the other lists, but if thats not what you want this looks semi-ok. Would have a tyrant in it at least.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't these guys already have a higher Initiative than just about anything out there? Why pay to add a +1 that you won't be able to use?

they have 4 initiative standard. the +1 allows them to strike before marines

i herd in 5th MC cant shoot 2 weapons i would drop one weapon from your carnifex. not sure what i would put instead

It was between Toxin Sacs and Adrenal for my hormies, but I opted for jsut the glands because 13 pt. hormagaunts seem just a bit expensive. Plus my genestealers should be doing all the S4 goodness anyways.

Question, how big is a 'standard' tryanid army out there?
My 1500 pt. layout has me only running 70-ish gaunts, and it doesn't feel right that a tryanid army should be outnumbered.

I love the 13 point ones. ^^ It occured to me that a brood of 32 Hormies w/o str mod cannot actually wound a t7 carnifex - ever. That made me sad. Not that they should fight one, mind you - but still.

I agree with the outnumber thing, but it is the way things work vs. a number of armies (Orks, IG, blah).
MC are part of Tyranid armies, fluff and all, and they cut into model count even when they are "cheap".

Watch what they can do though, and it does not feel so out of character.

List seems nice for what you aim for. I work pretty well with a mized list of mc/horde, and get good milage from warriors - more now.

No Nidzilla at 1000 pts., you need to be playing at 1500 to get elite Fexen.
