After being annihalated again and again, I decided to mess around with my list. The main changes are that things that were expensive have been de-pimped which allowed me a whole lot more points to play with. Anyway, how do you think this list is and are the actics for it sound? Thanks in advance

HQ

Huron Blackheart 170pts
(Who better to lead the Red Corsairs than Huron. I plan to put him in the Khorne Berserker squad)

ELITES

5 Terminators 190pts
Icon of Slaanesh, Heavy Flamer, 4 Combi-Plasmas
(These guys I hope to deep strike. They are meant to be a short ranged Anti-MEQ unit that can dish it out in both the shooting and assault phases. Heavy Flamer provides some anti-horde.)

5 Terminators 190pts
Icon of Slaanesh, Heavy Flamer, 4 Combi-Plasmas
(As above. I haven't bought this set of five yet so I was wondering if a unit of Plague Marines would be better, even if only so all the gods are represented)

TROOPS

10 Chaos Space Marines 230pts
Aspiring Champion, Power Weapon, Flamer, Meltagun, Rhino
(A tactically flexible squad that can take on most things at a pinch. Objective-snatchers more than anything)

10 Chaos Space Marines 195pts
Aspiring Champion, Power Weapon, Flamer, Meltagun
(As above, minus the speed of the rhino)

9 Khorne Berserkers 224pts
Rhino
(Powerful CC unit that has enough attacks to take on hordes and Huron helps out with his Heavy Flamer and Power Attacks against MEQ) Out of interest what is the number of Khorne fluff-wise? 12?

8 Noise Marines 240pts
Noise Champion, Power Weapon, Doom Siren, 7 Sonic Blasters
(Anti-horde close range support unit that will provide covering fire before diving into assault)

9 Thousand Sons 274pts
Aspiring Sorcerer, Wind of Chaos
(Medium-close range Anti-MEQ support unit)

HEAVY SUPPORT

Chaos Predator 70pts
(Cheap, long range Anti-skimmer/Monstrous Creature/Light vehicle)

Chaos Vindicator 145pts
Daemonic Possession
(Anti-everything. Short-medium Range)

Obliterator 75pts
(Anti-tank but flexible) *I have no experience using obliterators and I feel that with only one present it would fail to have much effect. Am I right in thinking that?*

Well thats the list. It comes to 2003pts and I think it looks good. Your opinions?

What's this got to do with Huron or the Red Corsairs?

He runs undivided armies, ya know.

Fluff mode off.

You are all over the place with this list. Khorne's magic number was eight. He won't mind though, gonna be alot of skulls with this list.

You aren't focused on anything. You need to focus with a Chaos army. You can bring alot of stuff to try and be flexible, but Chaos doesn't work well that way.

In certain fiction (a short story from Let The Galaxy Burn, IIRC), the Red Corsairs do include several different groups of Marked marines. For example, a Thousand Son led his cabal of sorcerers and Khorne Beserkers had their own section of the flagship that the characters avoided.

fluff mode off.

As stated, pick your focus. Once you decide what you want your army to best and do well, others can help you build a better list. Doing everything well enough is not an answer, nor sound tactics. I'd suggest Ranged, but thats only because you are considering Noise and 1k Sons with Oblits already, and it's my forte.
