I am going to put a jump pack on my librarian but I am having a hard time deciding what psychic powers to use. Here are the combinations I have come up with.

Storm of the Emperors wrath and Might of Heroes, I would attach him to an assault squad featuring my jump pack commander with lighting claws. This would give him a combination of a good shooting attack and the opportunity to add up to three attacks to the lightning claws in close combat.

Create a purely defensive librarian using the pack to get into the best position for Fury of the Ancients or Fear of the Darkness. I was also thinking about Vortex of Doom just because it's a cool fluffy power but with the small blast template I am not sure it would be as effective as the other two in slowing down marches towards the objective in later turns.

Any and all feedback is welcome!

For your first option, I think a chaplain is a better support HQ for that unit. Reroll misses on charge for much cheaper then the d3 attacks and it affects the whole unit.

I think the second option is the better pick. Take both fury and fear. Fury stuff on the way in and then/if worthwhile use fear. Is a very strong power against many armies, even high ld ones like necrons or vanilla marines.

Vortex is a poor power for the most part, cause the targets it would be useful against are not affected. The free Wrath power is about as good and is free.

I am all about Fury of the ancients and veil of time. Furyt allows me to shoot at things until they are in range to charge. Veil of time is nasty once the enemy is near. Rerolling everything has its uses.

Yeah, VoT is an excellent power, seconded only by FoD.

Math sure can come in handy!

Obviously with a jumppack, you are looking to get your librarian stuck-in. With that in mind, I would go with VoT or MoH. If you like FoA, don't bother with the jumppack. If you like FoD then get a droppod.
