Won't be coming, won't be familiar with the rules since they are coming out that day. Those of you that have had plenty of opportunity to pour over the books and playtest in your respective game stores will have too much advantage. Next one is in September I'm guessing? I'll make that one

Couple of us will be showing up for this one. We are using the 5th ed rules, right? Not just the 5th edition missions?

And.....if the fabled GW update FAQs come out that morning, are they going to be used? Will we all be crowding around the computer trying to read really quick while revising our lists?

All the rules will be 5th ed.

Come on Lormax, this RTT will definitely not be about winning, we will all be learning as we play.

Aww man, everytime there is a tournament I have something to do =(.

One of my old friends from the bay area moved down to Nipomo (which is like 30 minutes south of san luis obispo).

He's having a kick-in 40K 5th edition weekend and a few people are driving in from the bay area to be there (as well as me).

I think Ozymandias will probably show up as well.

@Spmusbi, we will indeed have the 5th ed FAQ's since they were released today.

We had 13 players show up. No arguements or serious rule problems. The only question I had is whether transports give up killpoints themselves.

I played my pure GK's and went 1-1-1. If I knew that rhinos DO give up a KP each then I went 2-0-1. Oh well.
Next time.

Yeah, the new rules threw a lot of people off. I remember a few times rolling with outnumber and below half modifiers for break tests.

All units give up a Kill Point if destroyed. No exceptions that I can think of exist.


Who won the tournie?

Charlie Nichols won. He was playing Space Wolves and his army was completly optimized for 4th ed. He knew very little about 5th before he bought the book on Saturday.
