This list is meant for competitive play:

HQ
Herald of Tzeentch - We Are Legion, Master of Sorcery, Bolt, Chariot

Herald of Tzeentch - We Are Legion, Master of Sorcery, Bolt, Chariot

Herald of Tzeentch - We Are Legion, Master of Sorcery, Bolt, Chariot

Herald of Tzeentch - We Are Legion, Master of Sorcery, Bolt, Chariot

Troops
9x Pink Horrors - Bolt

9x Pink Horrors - Bolt

9x Pink Horrors - Bolt

9x Pink Horrors - Bolt

Elites
3x Flamers

3x Flamers

Fast Attack
4x Screamers

4x Screamers

Heavy Support
Soulgrinder - Phlegm

Soulgrinder - Phlegm

Total - 1750

You'll notice that every unit is in a multiple of 2 (ie 2 Flamer units, 4 Heralds) this is so I can split it up evenly and know exactly what is going to be coming on the first turn. Also you'll notice that there are no icons. I don't think they are necessary because every unit either moves as Jump Infantry/Jetbikes, or has 18"+ range. Also I don't have the changeling because I was 5 points over and had to drop him.

Let me know what you think of the list. Thanks.

If you are intent on taking the soul grinders you should really look into putting some icons in the army. Soulgrinders have a HUGE footprint making it very easy for them to scatter on your own units or your opponents and since you aren't upgrading the shooting I'm assuming you want to get close to your opponent.

In the tzeentch list the tzeentch dp's put out a nasty amount of ap fire, breath of chaos plus daemonic gaze is very nasty and the tzeentch dp with his 4+ is safer against anit-tank as a possible alternative to the grinder.

Always, always put the changeling in the army. It's a steal for 5 points.

A couple of small horror suicide squads work well for going after juicy targets and rear armor on tanks. I would take on of the 9 mans and split it into 2 5's and drop 2 screamers to make up the points difference.

I did upgrade the Soulgrinder's shooting with Phlegm (S8 AP3 Large Blast). The Soulgrinders are there for anti infantry firepower and light counter assault (I'm not too worried about assault units tying my stuff up because of the new combat and consolidation rules).

I was thinking about putting Tzeentch DPs in the list put I came to the conclusion that they were just too expensive for my tastes. I might switch out the Soulgrinders for a pair during playtesting and see which one I like bettter.

I'll probably end up dropping a screamer to fit in the changeling, as I said in my first post he was dropped because I was 5 points over.

I'll think about Horror suicide squads. Although I think I can get some back armor on vehicles with 4 Heralds zooming around as jetbikes.

Thanks for the comments and keep them coming.

Sorry about the double post put I have made some changes and I think this list is even more deadly than the first:

6x Pink Horrors - Bolt, Changeling

6x Pink Horrors - Bolt

6x Pink Horrors - Bolt

6x Pink Horrors - Bolt

6x Pink Horrors - Bolt

6x Pink Horrors - Bolt

3x Flamers

3x Flamers

Fast Attack
3x Screamers

3x Screamers

Heavy Support
Soulgrinder - Phlegm

Soulgrinder - Phlegm

Total - 1743

The list has the same amount of Horrors except they are spread out over 6 squads, allowing me to have 2 more bolts. I dropped two screamers which gave me the points for the changeling and the additional bolts.

Having seen the Tzeentch heavy Deamon list several times I can tell you that it is powerful. However, Centurian99 is the one I've seen using it so take that for what it's worth.

The list looks good. Go forth and change.

You'll have to post back in here how the list does. My only concern would be the fact that you only have 2 vehicles which means they could be suffering a lot of at firepower. I guess you'll find out how much tougher vehicles will be in v5

The 2nd list looks better, with more units you get a better choice for planning your waves. Im not the best of friends with Screamers but they might work so give it a shot and let us know how it works out.
