It's a bit of a stretch I know, but does anyone know of a tabletop wargame that has rules and models to recreate the first and second Boer Wars?

I had a bit of a look on the net this morning, but only found WW1, WW2, American Civil War etc

Thanks for your help!

You'll prolly have to find a set of Victorian Era rules that has a supplement for 2BW. I remember playing a few games using Fields of Glory in the basement of Napoleon's in Milwaukee. Ah, the good 'ol days . . . .

Check out The Sword And The Flame. I haven't played it -- colonial is not my thing -- I know it's been around for years and is widely played.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Google The Red Shadow - that is (or was) the site of a group that did colonial gaming with that ruleset, mostly set in either the Mahgreb or Sub-Saharan Africa. The same twenty-man mob of Arab swords or Bantu spears tends to crop up a lot but it is really inspiring. They have an aweful lot of very pretty pieces.

When soldiers think, it's called routing.
