i preordered a model off forge world, and they charged me on the 30th for it so i'm thinking that means they sent it out soon after thant, i was just wondering how long the shipment usually is? i live in philadelphia

Generally a week to two weeks. I placed my order at games day, got it 10 days later.

Erm no...
It can still take weeks or months.

5-30 days. During Games Day times I usually had to wait 2-3 months (no joke).

Too many factors to consider, and it all depends on how fast they feel like putting it in the mail.

1) UPS is faster than the standard shipping, but it doesn't get sent any faster.
2) Charging your card has nothing to do with shipping your product. I learned this the hard way.
3) Items that are in stock have the potential to get delivered within 5-7 days. It happened to me once.
4) I feel sorry for you if you ordered anything that is not in stock. This causes the Commissars to execute the delivery boy.

If you haven't received anything within 10 days, start calling them. Please note I did not say e-mail them. CALL THEM ON THE PHONE!!
Calling is the only way to get an answer. I say this because I made an order which was not filled completely and sent an e-mail. I received a reply a week later that did not address any of my concerns and told me to call them.

Last time I had an order SNAFU with them, it took me 3+ days of constant calling to get through. I told them to kepp what they couldn't fill and send what the rest. International charges were almost as much as the Tetras they kept
