Ok, so, as every IG General worth his designing salt knows, every cool Vet' team deserves lots and lots and lots of little nooks and pouches and ammunition pouches. it just makes them look pretty damn hardcore. Now, my problem is, the pouches in the Cadian Shock Troop pack are pretty much like golddust, and I need MOAR.

My soldiers happen to like 's and the sort, and so I need lots of these also.

Anyone got any help for me on making such pouches out of Green Stuff with a meagre amount of skill?

Pouches are actually pretty easy:

- Make a cube of green stuff.
- Grab a hobby knife, and score lines where you want the pouch flap, pushing up towards the top of the pouch with the blade to raise the edge of the flap slightly from the main part of the cube.
- Let it set.
- roll a teensy ball of green stuff, push it into place on the flap and flatten it down to a disc. One button.

One finished pouch.

Alternatively, you could find someone who sells them...

There are 1/35 and 1/48 infantry model acccessory kits with nothing but pouches and backpacks. If you have a good model store near you it should have some, if not try Squadron or some other modeling mail order site.

Try mixing catachans and cadians. this will help differentiate them and make them look tough. I Recomend buying one boxed set of Catachans and one plastic Catachan heavy weapons team(ESPECIALLY if you want them to have heavy, albeit non-mobile, fire power. in any case it has great bits like backpacks and machetes). Or stick with the cadian heavy weapon team for a more uniform yet rugged appearance.

This is MUCH pricier than the Green stuff option, but still something to consider as it will provide more than just pouches

In the new rule book there's a picture of some cadians made using the Cadian body, SM sinper scout head, and the small bolt pistol ammo belt on the shoulder. I love this look and will be making a few.

On that site insaniak put, I'm thinking of getting loads of the Scout Pouches/Ropes and stuff. Very CoD-thy.

Since the plastic Marine Command Squad was released... and long before all the bitz webstores sprang up. Although my own store is new, since up until recently I was sticking with eBay.

The scout accessories would work pretty well on Cadians. Might need a little trimming here and there, as scout torsos are a bit rounder than Cadians, but nothing too serious.
