Hey All,

I'm sure this is FAQed somewhere, but I can't seem to find it for the life of me.

Okay, for "The Bear's Anger" (Lore of Beasts) it says:

This spell may be cast upon the Wizard himself, or any single friendly character within 12"... cannot wield a weapon nor use a shield whilst using this spell

But... it doesn't say anything about armor saves. Since you can cast this on models that aren't the wizard, it is conceivable that you could use it on a model wearing armor. So... while you cannot use a sheild (and therefore get the armor bonus of a sheild), do you still get the armor save from heavy/light armor?

Thanks

I would say, yes.

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

Yes you can still gain the benefits of Armor (any kind) with that model. The reason shields are excluded is that the character would drop what ever he had in his hands in favor of using his new found strength.

side question: lets say you have a bray-shamen with a bray-staff and chaos armor. He casts bears anger on himself and charges into combat, after getting his attacks (at buffed str/atk) can he voluntarily end the spell (as per all remains in play) and then use the braystaff for +2 armor?

No because you must select what weapon you are using at the beginning of each combat and it lasts until the combat is resolved. So in this case he would be using the equivalent of a hand weapon rather than the Bray Staff.

makes sense to me
