Anyone seen the new pre-release snap together plastics that Citadel is making? I am intrigued, especially if they are at all poseable. Any word on what sort of process they are using for the mold?

Think the "battle for Macragge" marines.
The guardsmen are 1 piece body with the gun and arms/hands moulded in one piece. Not a lot of mod-ability, but they are plastic, so a bit of work with a saw and some glue ...
Nowhere near as convertible as the "standard" models for the armies, though. Good for bulking out the troops if you need odd numbers. Although, for the price, the regular boys will do the job better.

ditto. the 'real' models are better in all respects. The new snap togethers are aimed at the younger lot who have a little bit of pocket money to spend and can't wait a couple of weeks to save for a bigger set/don't have the skills to build the more complex normal guys.

Ok that is what I thought. Like they said, good for color scheme tests.

And back-of-the-unit models that you'll remove first as casualties.

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack |
