Urr i'd love some feedback on this i suppose, i really just wanted to drop in the poll (shoulder shrug)
H: Herald of Khorne on Jugger with armour of khorne (General) 165
H: Herald of Nurgle on palaquin with slime trail BSB 200
H: Herald of Tzeentch Wings and spell breaker 160
H: Herald of Tzeentch Wings and spell breaker 160
C: 20 Bloodletters with FC 270
C: 20 Plaguebearers with FC 270
C: 10 Daemonettes 120
S: 5 Hounds 175
S: 5 Hounds 175
R: 3 Fiends 165
R: 4 Flamers 140
2000pts
ive found it to be pretty effective and flexible. I KNOW it doesn't have a greater daemon but i prefer the 4 heralds then pay 500/600 pts for a model that can be destroyed in one round of shooting.
The BSB and General boost their own units and the other heralds are scroll caddies and use there speed to get a flickering fire, gift of chaos, bolt of change where they need to be. the daemonettes are a minimum core that is fast enough to catch shooting units off guard. HOUNDS ARE AWESOME, nough said. Fiends are great for flanks and small units. the flamers are virtually the only shooting and this is vital in any combat army, to shoot anything that could mess up your battleline

This should be moved to the army list section.
The list has a few items in it that I would consider changing. first I wouldn't recommend taking blood letters in units of anything greater than 12. This is because Bloodletters function much better as a MSU style unit for flanking purposes rather than as a blocked unit to fight in combat.
By Droping the full command with 8 Blood letters you can add a unit of Furies. Add 2 Daemonettes and a musician to the Daemonette unit and to the Bloodletter unit.
Other than that it should run fine.

I disagree
MSU units that cannot flee have some serrious issues.
It is hard to account for an enemy that may stand and fight for another round or blow right through your 12 man unit (it isnt to hard to do)
I would suggest units of 15-18 so you know that they will hold against almost any charge (the extra guys do make a significant difference).
I generally prefer 4 fiend units but 3 works fine. Just be wary of charging the front of anything, you are liable to have issues.
My sugestion, drop the letters down to 14 (3 ranks of 6 with the hearld). Give the hearld obsidian armor (unkillable goodness).
Drop the plague bearers down some, you dont need 20+planquin. People will avoid them anyways because of their unkillableness.
And with any extra points get some furies.
Plague bearers drive right up the middle. Letters go next to them on one flank. Hounds and fiends poind one flank, everything else helps letters on the other.
Could be good.

I suggest minimum size units of 10, so as to waste the least amount of points on core...Buy special, characters and rare if you want fight from the Daemon codex.
|
All in all, fact is that Warhammer 40K has never been as balanced as it is now, and codex releases have never been as interesting as they are now (new units and vehicles and tons of new special rules/strategies each release -- not just the same old crap with a few changes in statlines and points costs).
