The shooty army would comprise of two farseers, lots of DAs, and dark reapers. I would also throughin some pathfinders for taste.

The CC army would have a avatar, a farseer, three wraighthlords, DAs with defend, pathfinders, and banshees

The wave serpent army would be guardians in wave serpents with two seer councils, and fireprism support. infantry would ride in well equiped wave serpents till in good cover or turn six.

all armies will play at 2000 points, and the winning list will be completed and posted in one week.
Thanks for all contributions.

This is the tactic I use for my Eldar most of the time. I like to use a Falcon with some Fire Dragons in it as well.

I actually have a full body tattoo, but it's of an invisibility cloak, so you can't see it.

I'm not opting for a shooty list.
What comes to my mind are two lists:
1. Seer Council in Serpent with 2 Farseers or Eldrad, Harlies, DAs in Serpents, Pathfinders, Wraithlords, Falcon with Fire Dragons.
2. Serpent rush army; after deploying the squads, go ramming with the Serpents. S10 can be deadly.
I vote for the first alternative.

Wave Serpent armies are the most fun types of Eldar armies to play. They are very mobile, and more time is spent playing the game than rolling dice (something that can't be said for shooty Eldar armies). Dark Reapers are terribly powerful, but also so very boring to use, and most of the time, I would put CC troops in Wave Serpents anyways.

Catch me if you can.

I'm not sold on the Dark Reapers as the shooty element. I like the idea of shooty Eldar in 5th, but your HS shooty should be from War Walkers/Wraithlords/Fire Prisms/Gun Platforms. I think Dark Reapers are paying too much of a premium for their AP3 that will be massively negated by cover saves everywhere. Don't get me wrong, the Exarch rocks, but I'm not sure if he's worth the astronomical point cost for that unit. After all, for the cost of a 3 man Reaper squad and an Exarch with a Tempest Launcher and Crack Shot (great for those cover saves), you pay more than 2 War Walkers with dual Scatter Lasers (or more than 3 Walkers with dual Shuriken Cannons). It's comparable to a Holo-fielded Fire Prism. I think the Reapers are just a bit too overpriced unless you see a ton of 3+ saves in your area (I see too many Eldar, Nids, Orks, and Daemons to pay that much of a premium for AP3).

Footslogging Avatar + Eldrad + 3 wraithlords + elites for counterassault and direavengers and guardians on jetbikes.

[I voted shooty since it was the only combination I saw there that didn’t sound like it needed tweaking. The close combat army sounds like it is lacking in close combat units (since you are spending points on dire avengers and pathfinders). The wave serpent army seems like it is going to have issues because you are toating guardians around rather than dire avengers or other more powerful units.

Threads should be like skirts: long enough to cover what's important but short enough to keep it interesting.

The Eldrad+Avatar+3 WL combo is looking very spectacular but tactically non-flexible.
A boring army to play.

Disagree. The army is very strong in shooting and great in h2h. The key is keeping your army in a good promity of each unit. The fact that everything can move and shoot means that the army is more mobile than any other footslogger while still producing firepower.
