pretty self-explainitory... both ten man units ride in raiders (which provide my AT.. 4 TL lascannons is nothing to laugh at.) the princes use the raiders as moving cover if i am advancing up, or act as counter assault. i dislike dual-lash, will not run it.

Looks pretty good. Congrats that you run only one uber-cheesy lash.
The Landraiders will soak up a lot of fire. It should be fine as long as you avoid getting into melta range.

actually at 1750pts, only 4 lascannon is something to laugh at. you will have problems with tanks, but unfotunately there isnt really a lot you can do about it without remaking the whole list.

as a casual list its ok. you should do well with it at most FLGS (not that thats anything to be proud of mind). try not to get inot a possition where your 10 man NM squads and your raiders can get charge by MCs.

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live?

As stated above serious lack of anti tank and really for 1750 kind of a lack of foot support too, Noise Marines are good but perhapse you are running too much of a good thing?

Off topic but is it just me or since 5ed came out is there an over abundance of CSM lists being posted?

if i take out the 2 raiders, i only get 6 oblits. thats only 2 more lascannons, and they aren't twinlinked..

if you run the math, im almost positive that 4 TL lascannons will out perform 6 generic lascannons over the course of a game especially now that landraiders are harder to crack, where the oblits are just as vulnerable as they used to be.

i also have the blastmaster shot to fire at tanks as well, and if i must, i have my 2 DPs that can tear open a tank.

most CSM builds have low model count.. Noise/Tson/Plague marine armies.. Terminator Bomb armies.. they all come in at around 40-45 models. my 12 sonic blaster marines put out as much firepower as at least 24, and upto 36 bolter marines. that makes up for alot in the numbers game.

Ztryder you are absolutely correct, CSM numbers tend to be a bit low in lists like these the only issue ends up being he still has a lack of antitank and very few scorring units. Noise Marines may well dish out more shots but they don't soak up that many shots in return.

With Lash, though, your obliterators also provide serious anti-infantry. Pulling a tough unit out of cover, bunching them up and blapping it with plasma-cannon fire is pretty effective.

On the other hand, I think Land Raiders are also a tough nut to crack in 4th ed. Assault cannons won't threaten them nearly as much, glancing hits are easier to ignore.

I was thinking about a similar list, only with 3 raiders, 3 units of noise marines, and two lash princes. It would play much like a Grey Knight army (as per Deadshane's article), using both lashes and raiders to hamper the opponent's ability to hurt you, while providing pretty solid shooting and assault capabilities where needed.

theres 5 scoring units (5 units of noise marines) the max is 6.. unless you load up on demons that is. unless you are talking about only having 38 scoring models, but there are still 5 units that score.

I disagree on the anti-tank front, while you may only have 4 lascannons, they are mounted on Land Raiders, and so are TL and hard to take out.

As for the Noise Marines... I can't lie, I like the format of this list, but I really think that Sonic Marines are better suited for a shooting role. You're paying some pretty premium points for the squad just to have the Doom Siren in there, which is pretty lethal, but I'm not sure it's worth the extra 30 some points you pay (you could just as easily get a regular CSM unit with a power weapon for cheaper, although no Doom Siren). Just something to think about.

Slaaneshi Terminators are never a bad choice, but they can't capture objectives. I might replace one of the princes with a Lord with a Blissgiver (amazing character, or horde hunter), and replace one of the CC squads with a 4-man terminator squad with some claws and a fist.

Catch me if you can.

Sonic marines perform very well in an assault role too. They're getting as many attacks as a loyalist assault marine, at higher initiative. How can this be a bad thing?

The only disadvantage the land raiders have is that they don't have the loyalist machine spirit.

Yeah, but they save a few points in that tradeoff. Early on, when the lascannons are most useful, sit & shoot. Later, get your cargo where it needs to go.

Not disagreeing, just saying that the Loyalist land raiders are mad awesome! I wonder if a Blood Angels, Templars, or Space Wolves list could benefit with ten man squads riding in standard land raiders? Obviously Templars or Wolves with Crusaders are a good choice.

Personally, I'd prefer being possessed (even putting me to BS3) over having the current machine spirit. I'm sure plenty of loyalist LRs would love to be able to just ignore shaken and stunned. Possessed land raiders are not something to scoff at. They ignore 2/3 of the glancing chart, 1/3 of the penetrating chart (barring AP1 of course) and getting a penetrating hit on them is no laughing matter.
