Forever alone

I see that Rhinos (and other transports) sometimes have firing points. The rules state, in the SM codex for example, that two models being carried may fire from the hatch. Does this include models with heavy or special weapons? Do they count as a vehicle weapon? Are thay still vulnerable to 'Gets hot' rolls?

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

There are no limitations on what types of weapon may be fired.

The only restriction is that the model counts as moving if the vehicle has moved.

Otherwise, the shot is worked out exactly as normal, with range and LOS taken from the Fire Point.

It's worth noting as well that Fire Points are now actually defined as allowing a single model to fire unless stated otherwise in the vehicle rules, instead of the rather nebulous '1 or more' from last edition...

in the chaos codex it says that models may fire from the top hatch of a rhino, but doesnt give any restrictions on how many.

this was FAQed recently where a limit of 2 was imposed to keep it in line with SM rhinos

you may fire any weapon out of a firepoint, but the model counts as moving.

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live?

Goes without saying but the model only counts as moving if the transport moved. If the transport remained stationary the would still count as stationary.

This actually raises a question of can the squad move to become embarked and still fire as if they were stationary?
Models firing from a vehicle count as moving if the
vehicle moves, and may not fire at all if the vehicle
moved at Cruising speed that turn.

If you think you are too small to have an impact, try sleeping with a mosquito.

No. The squad moved.

They count as having moved if the vehicle moved. That doesn't automatically mean they count as not moving if the vehicle didn't. For that, it would have to say that they only count as having moved if the vehicle moved.
