Mine just arrived.

Oddly the ammo case ships separately in its own box. Makes sense I suppose as they don't have to package anything in the crate. The book and counters are also separate. The ammo case is quite beefy - maybe 1/2-1 pound in weight. Much higher quality than I would have expected. It has egg crate foam in it.

Got mine yesterday. Picked it up at the GW store.

GW store attributed it's lateness to UPS and their union rules.

Reminds me of an Seinfeld episode, "you know how to take the reservation but you don't know how to HOLD the reservation."

Mine came in Friday, but I couldn't pick it up till sunday.
My only beef with the ammo can are the securing clasps. I'm concerned they'll break too easily.

We all thought the box contained the crate, rules and temps. Sadly, I found out differently at home.

Hmm, I'm still interested in the ammo crate, but I need to know more about the interior first. How many models fit in it? Are they really safe for transport?

They sent almost all of them by Ground unless the person specified Express shipping. Mine is still shipping because the geniuses at GW Memphis shipped over $1000 of them for my local store via Ground. I guess no-one figured that people would want them for the 12th?

Mind you this order was sent in over two weeks prior and so there still shouldn't have been any reason for them not to be here yet.

I got mine at glen bernie battle bunker on time when it was released...

the foam inside isn't the same pluckable foam as the one we are all used to that come in the GW cases...

its more like a sheet of foam from a gun case... i suppose it can hold about 20-30 infantry models in it?

Just be glad if you get them. My FLGS only received half of what they ordered, not even enough to fill all their preorders, and are being told they will not be able to get anymore. Makes me glad my name was third on the list.

The case is heavy enough that hitting some one with a metal dread in a sock will be replaced by hitting them with your metal figure case instead.
