I like it but I would add a spiritseer to at least 1 guardian squad to increase the range of protection for the wraithlord. You might also make sure that there is a warlock with embolden in one of the guardian squads, that is where I would keep Eldrad giving him rerolls on his 3 psyker tests a turn.

If you dump the 2 waveserpents that hold the DA's you can buy 2 guardian jetbike squads. I know this takes the hammer out of your army but the DA's are more effective moving with the pack around Avatar and the jetbikes can grab objectives on their own.

Well, the Serpents are vital for the anvil & hammer approach, since the Serpents can reposition and bring the Dire Avengers to the closest threats.
The idea with the Spiritseer is really good.

I know, I just do not think the 200+ points for the 2 waveserpents is worth it just to bring, a very light, hammer up to a enemy and out of the protection of the anvil of your army.

Busy somewhere, airin' out the skin jobs.

I don't really think of hammer/anvil when considering eldar...

More like scalpel and feathertickler....

I have never failed to seize on 4+ in my life!

wuestenfux, I have seen you on other boards and your lists have always seemed solid although they were mostly space marines. I like this list enough that I think I am going to build my eldar army around it. I am going to include some other aspects though for fun.

I would agree, the hammer here really needs to be tougher. Move the Wave Serps from one of the DA to the fire dragons, and then put harlequinns in the falcon. You can still keep the other DA in the WS too, this makes sure your hammer does not get completly screwed in the assault phase (I.e. make sure your DA get assaulted, not your FD. Then aggressivly charge with your harlequinn.

He's not going to kill the Falcon anyway, it's built from magic fairy wings and dreams. -- Phyraxis

The anvil consists of HQs, 2 DA squads on foot, and 2 Wraithlords, while the hammer is comprised of Falcon, Fire Dragons, 2 DA squads in Serpents, 2 Harlie squads on foot.
The hammer is quite decent, isn't it?

HQ: 365
Eldrad – 210
Avatar – 155

Elite: 400
6 Fire Dragons – 96
5 Harlequins (kisses) + 1 Shadowseer (kiss) – 162
5 Harlequins (kisses) + 1 Shadowseer (kiss) – 162

Troops: 828
9 Dire Avengers + 1 Exarch (bladestorm) + Serpent (scatterlaser, stones) – 267
9 Dire Avengers + 1 Exarch (bladestorm) + Serpent (scatterlaser, stones) – 267
9 Dire Avengers + 1 Exarch (shimmershield) – 147
9 Dire Avengers + 1 Exarch (shimmershield) – 147

Heavy Support: 425
Wraithlord (starcannon, wraithsword) – 130
Wraithlord (shuricannon, scatterlaser) – 120
Falcon (shuricannon x2, stones, holofield) – 175

Total: 2018 pts

Its a bit over 2000 pts, dropping 18 pts is not a problem.

Where are your long range S:8 weapons? How will you deal with multiple Land Raiders or, worse, monoliths?

The Fire Dragons can take care of a Land Raider. I will ignore the Monolith as always.
I could beef up the Wraithlords giving them bright lance & eml.

Yes, the firedragons can take care of A landraider but then they are dead from return fire. The second and possibly even third land raider is the concern.

Definitely try the BL + EML combo. It is not perfect but it does help alot.

I will definitely try it. Its costly but possibly worth the points.
