So the Deffkoptas scout move, then assault, with all the nob bikers turbo boosting behind them using the cover provided by the assault. This was asked to be built after my squad of 3 nob bikers with a warboss was shot with a squad of 10 grey knights, 2 chimeras, 1 hellhound (the cannon on it was destroyed), a squad of 10 assault marines, a squad of 6 terminators with 2 assault cannons, 2 squads of 10 stormstroopers with 2 plasmaguns each, a landraider crusader and a squad of 10 marines with a missile launchers and plasma gun, and took one unsaved wound. This resulted in a bunch of whining and crying from the other side (even though I had warned them not to shoot at the squad and run away like little girls), though not as much as the other big battle in which I "squigged" the enemies terminator chaplain.

Anyways, how does the list look.

Only one of us was whining! and it sure as hell wasn't me. I knew exactly how hard it would be to score any wounds in shooting, but there really weren't any other viable targets. And you made some SICK rolls! I would say that we should have score 3-4 wounds.

On to this list,...... the only problem is just the two troops choices (I assume the two of the four man squads), but on the bright side, you aught to kill most things other than a true CC army. Time to bust out the checkbook and buy 5 more boxes of bikes!!!

That's absurd...the stormtroopers were elsewhere. The Grey Knights did seem pretty gung ho about assaulting those orks and berzerkers though.

I don't know about the small squads of orks, you lose 90 points by having to take 3 extra painbosses. Why not consolidate the 18 nobs into 2 squads of 9? you still have deffkoptas and bosses to contest, and you also still have the same amount of scoring units, but they will be even MORE able to resist the killing! use the saved points to give them all unique loadouts, and you can take 10 wounds before you ever start losing models!

Agree, as well as to say that you're really missin' all the 'Uge choppas and the Waagh Banner.

I'm seriously considering a 2000 point army with 2 squads of nob bikers, two warbosses, and three squads of deffkoptas. It probably won't be very competitive, but it will be a lot of fun!

edit: Here is another thought for this army at 1850, though oppoets might balk at 5 squads of multi-wound units all with unique layouts. If you find your opponents cry foul then you can get more model out of it by changing the units to no unique layout and more regular units. I don't know if you would get hit on comp in a tourney or not, because these units are typically seen as sub-par, but it is a total raping of the WAR, so it may get low comp scores.

Get a lot of wound counters at least if you run this. It will help you in games by at least being organized, despite your opponents desire to crush your soft scores (if you're using army comp).

Regarding advise to the list, yeah, I really don't even know. It's so different from any Ork army I've seen on the table, it's difficult to say how it would do. Try it out and post up your findings of what works and what doesn't work.

One big issue I can speak of is running only two troop choices. This can make for some very hard games. However, a kill point game and your army is sick.

On to the list from the OP:

Run 2 squads of Nob Bikers and 2 Warbosses.

Run a boyz squad to sit in the backfield and secure your own objective, and besides that they'll do little but give the Nobz cover saves on turn 1 if you go second. Not that they really need it, of course.

Exactly,... there was a group that got out of that chimera (w/ dozer blade) that rolled snake eyes on the difficult terrain test.
